Flax seed is a well know source of fiber. Studies have indicated that it does have health benefits as it contains omega 3 fatty acids that are very successful at treating lupus and cardiac ailments.
Flaxseed also helps lower cholesterol, keep blood pressure stable and prevent certain heart diseases. Persons that have had heart attacks in the past can always take some flaxseed oil
as a preventive measure.

  • If the problem is constipation, flaxseed oil can help as it enables free bowel movement.

Dose: Notmore than three grams should be consumed.

Storage Condition: The best way to keep it is to refrigerate it or store it in a cool dark place. It is made from freshly pressed seeds and is usually bottled in dark containers and the processing is done at low temperatures without light, heat and oxygen.
